As title.

Heavy foot-solider (sword) have large shield and very thick armor. They should be able to brace against frontal charge, esp. from cavalry.

I'd suggest making brace a default ability for all heavy foot-solider that gives +40% charge deflect, -60% melee defense, -80% speed, has 2s wind-up and can be toggled.

Formed combat doesn't work as brace.

Brace is only available for T10 heavy infantry unit.

Roman scutum (shield) is thick and has a rectangular-shape. So it makes sense that when the Roman infantry form shield wall on the ground, it should be able to significantly mitigate any damage caused by frontal charges. :hiding:

Roman infantry is already very strong.  I don't see a need for this.

Agree with this. I personally think all tiers might be much, tho say t6/8 would be a good buff arguably one they even need.

True, do you feel the difference tho.

To me it feel's very underwelming, another aproach is making it slightly better.

It is true, not  feel great difference when you get a charge from 3 units at the same time.
We don't need new skills for infantry, it's enough to make it not worthy to charge with 3 units at the same time and place against 1 unit.
This will force players to play their units separately and this will show you who is really good in this game the ability to operate your units separately is here you show SKILLS.

Maybe playing Sulla if you want to be charge deflect god?  Sulla have fortify mode witch virtually block almoust all charge damage if used by heavy infantry. But to get it you have to accept that you are weaker than germanicus and harder to play. No testudo, vengeage is always auto win button against sulla and things like that. :D

You can counter charge frontal cav charge and you`ll cause more damage to them than them to you.

here is a good example

It's not a counter cav charge. The infantry charge first and his unit charge seems to have higher charge impact than your non-wedge cavalry lol. But  it looks like a bug or something.

Ah, I see what you mean.

Yes Germanicus charge is stronger than the weak attempt of Cav charge in your video.

But this isn't on topic, roman infantry can be played on more than one general, and it still doesn't explain a front charge interaction (with positive buffs towards tanking it)
