Blades will bleed. Shields will shatter. Are you ready to enter the Arena again? Total War: ARENA marches towards Cologne in Germany for gamescom 2017, and we have a few surprises and announcements lined up that should have the most stoic of Spartan warriors quivering with anticipation.

But first, a question. Are you ready to enter the Arena again?

 

 Alpha 10 will be available to play from Monday 21st August until Sunday 27th August at 23:59 (UTC)

 

We can finally reveal that Boudica, Queen of the Iceni tribe in eastern Britannia, heroine for the oppressed, sworn enemy of the Roman Empire, and vengeance incarnate, is coming to Total War: ARENA, and will be available as a playable commander during Alpha 10! Boudica is a Barbarian Commander who travels with her loyal but vicious new unit, the Wardogs, which you will also be able to get to grips with. Cry havoc… and run for your life!

We are also incredibly excited to announce that the non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which was in place for all previous Alpha sessions, has been lifted.  You are now completely free to stream and share images and video of your experiences in Total War: ARENA with the wider world, which we wholeheartedly encourage you to do!

As the game is still in development, you may still encounter bugs or technical issues during gameplay. We wholeheartedly encourage you to report any issues to us, so that we can improve your gaming experience and make the game the best it can possibly be. You can let us know how your experience was using our ticket support page, or here, on our forum. 

 

Total War: ARENA will be shown off in all its glory at gamescom 2017 in Cologne, Germany this week, and there are plenty of surprises and treats to come. Keep an eye on the news section of the Wargaming.net Game Center for details on news, streams, and developer interviews covering everything from new commanders, factions, units and content, to the game’s communication features, historical elements, and other cool information!

To everyone at home and at gamescom 2017 who participated in Total War: ARENA Alpha 10 over the last week, thank you for your time and your gaming energy! The Alpha session is now over.

Total War: ARENA is still a work in progress, so we would love to hear your feedback and comments about the tenth Alpha session.

Let yourself in at the lovely meeting place for commanders that is our official forum to regale us with your tales of battle, for we are your captive audience! Your playtime, and the feedback and comments that you share from it, are invaluable to us, and will help us to create the final game.
